Basil Pesto

    2. 1 cup measure
    3. half cup measure
    4. bowl

  2. Ingredients
    1. 3 cloves of garlic
    2. 2 cups of fresh basil
    3. 3 Tablespoons pine nuts
    4. dash of salt, dash of pepper
    5. one half cup extra virgin olive oil
    6. one half cup grated parmesan cheese
  3. Directions
    1. Add the basil, garlic, salt, pepper, and pine nuts to the mortar.
    2. Grind to a paste.
    3. Add the parmesan cheese. Pound until well-mixed.
    4. Whisk in the olive oil until the desired consistency is reached.

  4. Deploy
    1. Serve on pasta or fresh bread.
    2. Use as a topping for pizza.
